Water activities
Open Canoeing
Our most popular activity – Open Canoeing or Canadian Canoeing is a great way to explore the outdoors with other people. With expert tuition you will be on the water and paddling in no time at all. With a mimimum of 2 people per canoe this activity is ideal for groups, families or Stag & Hen do’s. Canoe’s can be rafted together and even sailed across the lake when the wind is blowing.
Kayaking
Stable and efficient, kayaking makes for easy journeying and gets you into those less explored spots. The sea kayaks are great for travelling longer distances and getting close to nature. Suitable, for groups, families with older children and overnight journeys.
Yacht sailing
Our skippered yacht sailing allows you to get as involved as you like from sitting on the deck enjoying the views to helming the boat. A great way to explore the lakes whilst participating in this exhilarating activity, we will have you up and running in no time at all and by the end of the day you will be captain of your own ship! Suitable for small groups, families and romantic breaks. Please note: this activity is only currently available on Ullswater
Raft building
Construct your own raft from the barrels, spas and rope to hold your entire group and undertake a short journey or race on the lake before it falls apart! A great activity for groups, team away days and Stag & Hen do’s. Perfect for those with a competitive streak – be prepared for a soaking!
Cliff Jumping
Take a flying leap from the lakeside cliff into the cool waters. Pure adrenalin! Ideal as part of a full day out canoeing, kayaking or sailing.
