Terms and Conditions

The following outlines our terms and conditions for booking a course, cancellation policy, data protection, insurance and website usage:

Booking a course or activity for individuals

1) Provisional bookings

Your place will be held for 7 days once a provisional booking has been made by telephone or email.

2) Confirmed bookings

Confirmation of your place will only be made once full payment has been received. Your place cannot be guaranteed and may be cancelled if payment has not been recieved prior to arrival.

3) Your cancellation

If, for any reason, you need to cancel your place, where possible, we will endeavour to find a place on another activity/s. A transfer fee of £10 may apply. If it is not possible to find an alternative date we charge 50% of your fee 30 days or more before your activity date and 100% of your fee less than 30 days before your activity date.

4) Our cancellation

In the unlikely circumstance that we cancel your booking every effort will be made to reschedule the activity/s to a mutually agreeable date or places offered on other courses. If it is not possible to attend any alternative dates a full re-fund will be offered.

5) Extreme weather

Activities will normally be held in all weather conditions however in extreme weather, for the safety of participants, it may be necessary to modify, change or postpone an activity.

6) Participants

We endeavour to include everyone in our activities. We reserve the right to refuse an individual or modify an activity for the purposes of safety and/or welfare of an individual or other participants.

7) Data protection

All information is treated with confidentiality and held on file for insurance purposes. All personal information is held and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and is not shared with any third party.

8) Insurance & accreditation

Reach Beyond Adventure holds the Adventure Activities Licence (AALA) and a £5 Million Public Liability Insurance in adventure activities. We also recommend you take out holiday insurance for the duration of your stay. Full details of insurance, accreditation & safety policies are available upon request.

Booking a course for groups, families & organisations

1) Provisional bookings

An event booking will be held for 7 days once a provisional booking has been made by telephone or email.

2) Confirmed bookings

Confirmation of an event will only be made upon receipt of a completed booking form and full payment or invoice. If paying by invoice payment should be paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

3) Your cancellation

If, for any reason, you need to cancel your event we charge 50% of your fee 30 days or more before your event and 100% of your fee less than 30 days before your event. We may decide to re-arrange an event only in exceptional circumstances.

4) Our cancellation

In the unlikely circumstance that we cancel a booking every effort will be made to re-schedule the event to a mutually agreeable date. If it is not possible to re-schedule an event a full re-fund will be offered.

8) Public Liability Insurance

Reach Beyond Adventure holds a £5 Million Public Liability Insurance in adventure activities with the Activities Industry Mutual. We also recommend you take out holiday insurance for the duration of your stay.

9) Adventure Activity Licence

Reach Beyond Adventure is registered with The Adventure Activities Licensing Service to provide Climbing, Trekking, Caving & Watersports (AALA licence number L10669/R194). License details can be confirmed by calling The Licensing Service on 029 2075 5715.

10) Safety & qualifications

All staff hold current qualifications relevant to the activities provided or are approved through an established in-house system of training. Full details of staff experience, safety policies, insurance & activity licence are available upon request.
